Mandatory Life Sentence For Slidell Man Convicted Of Sex Crimes

Sentencing is scheduled for a Slidell man who was convicted on Monday of rape and other sex crimes involving three children.

A St. Tammany Parish jury found Robert Morgan guilty of two counts of first-degree rape of a child, two counts of child molestation, one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile, and one count of sexual battery of a child.

The crimes came to light in 2021. The victims, now in their teens, testified in court.

Morgan faces a mandatory life sentence on May 9.
