Landry Unveils Budget Proposal For FY 2026

Gov. Jeff Landry's budget proposal for fiscal year 2026 is now before the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget.

Commissioner of Administration Taylor Barras presented the proposed budget on Thursday.

State lawmakers will hammer out their differences concerning Landry's budget proposal in the legislative session this spring.

The final budget they agree to will take effect in July.
