The Saints are sticking with a veteran under center.

General manager Mickey Loomis said at the NFL Combine on Wednesday that the team is excited about having Derek Carr as the starting quarterback in 2025.

Loomis praised Carr's ability to process and said clips of Carr were used on tapes throughout the league.

The Saints could free up nearly $31 million in cap space by restructuring Carr's contract.

The 33-year-old is set to count $51.4 million against the cap in 2025. A full restructure would make Carr's salary cap number about $69 million in the final year of his deal.
