Krewe of Argus Will Roll With St. Patrick's Parade On March 16

After calling off parades on Mardi Gras Day due to weather concerns, Jefferson Parish officials have announced that the Krewe of Argus will roll with the St. Patrick's Parade on Sunday, March 16.

“I’m so excited to have been able to work with the Krewe of Argus to reschedule their big day. This unique situation will allow us to bring together two of Jefferson Parish’s most historic traditions. The union of Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day will be on full display on Metairie Road,” said Jefferson Parish President Cynthia Lee Sheng.

The route will start at 41st and Severn, heading south and turning left of Metairie Road. Both parades will then turn left on Focis towards Canal Street, where they will disband.

Parish officials say there are working with the Elks Krewe of Jeffersonians on a possible make-up date.
