St. James Parish officials are reporting a possible tornado on Tuesday evening in Gramercy.
A storm hit town about 6 p.m. and caused local power outages.
Entergy Louisiana said they were working to turn the lights back on for homes and businesses in the area.
The possible tornado touchdown was reported behind Taylor's Express on State Highway 3125.
Gramercy police, St. James Parish deputies, and St. James volunteer firefighters responded to assist residents. No word yet about possible damage or injuries.
