The secretary of the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is taking a new role with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The agency announced on Sunday that Madison Sheahan will serve as deputy director at ICE.
She will answer to new Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
Sheahan previously worked for Noem when she was governor of South Dakota.
Governor Jeff Landry says he looks forward to working with Sheahan in her new position.
