Legislators Consider Online Casinos For Louisiana

Online sports betting is a booming business in Louisiana, so some state legislators are now considering online casinos.

GOP State Senator Kirk Talbot from River Ridge says he and a legislative committee are considering how online casinos could work in Louisiana.

Online casino gambling is legal in only six states, and Talbot says the committee is considering the policies of these states to see what works.

He says they don't want online casinos to be available to minors or gambling addicts, or to harm the state's brick-and-mortar casinos.
