Pelicans To Shut Down Williamson, McCollum For Rest Of Season

The Pelicans will be without two standout players for the rest of the season.

New Orleans is shutting down forward Zion Williamson and guard CJ McCollum for the remainder of the 2024-25 season due to their respective injuries.

Williamson, who will have now played in 30 or fewer games for the fourth time in six years, is currently dealing with a back bone contusion and McCollum is sidelined by a right foot bone contusion.

The Pelicans, 14th in the West at 21-54, are set to begin a two-game road trip, visiting the Los Angeles Clippers tomorrow night at the Intuit Dome. The team is coming off a 98-94 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
