Construction of a new riverfront park in New Orleans is expected to be completed by late this year.

The Audubon Nature Institute is behind the $30 million project, with the city helping pay the cost.

Some warehouses are being torn down to make way for part of the park.

When it's completed, the park will stretch more than two miles from Spanish Plaza to Crescent Park, making it one of the nation's biggest riverfront parks.

Businesses in the French Market are looking forward to seeing more people in the area.
