Landry, Commissioner Disagree Over How To Lower Car Insurance Rates

Gov. Jeff Landry and Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple have different ideas about how to bring down auto insurance rates.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Landry said expensive ad campaigns by both insurance companies and personal injury lawyers are to blame.

At his own press conference on Thursday, Temple said he wants bring more insurance companies into Louisiana to increase competition.

When asked why he hadn't been at Landry's press conference, Temple said he hadn't been invited.
