Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy is dead at the age of 24.

Lacy reportedly took his own life Saturday night in Houston while being chased by police.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, police responded to a call from a family member who said Lacy had fired a gun during an argument before fleeing in a vehicle.

The chase ended in a crash and deputies say Lacy shot himself as they approached the car.

He played three seasons at LSU after starting his career at Louisiana.

His best season came last year, when he caught 58 passes for 866 yards and a team-leading nine touchdowns.
