The Louisiana Public Service Commission will vote today on whether to eliminate the state's energy efficiency program.
Commissioner Mike Francis added the vote to the meeting's agenda on Monday.
The commission approved the program last year with a plan to roll it out in 2026. Afterwards, the commission hired a third-party company to design and implement the program statewide.
Today's vote could put a stop to all of that.
The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. today in the town of Many.
