The second and final weekend of the 2025 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is underway, and the turnout is big.

A spokesman for New Orleans & Company says hotel occupancy is projected to reach 83 percent this weekend. That's slightly lower than last year, but the spokesman say that's because a big convention was in town at the same time as Jazz Fest 2024.

The ten-day festival usually attracts about 400 thousand visitors. In 2024, it topped half a million.

The economic impact is ordinarily about $400 million.
