A former postal worker from Gretna is off to federal prison after pleading guilty to stealing mail and customers' checks in 2022.
Randy Brown Jr. was sentenced on Wednesday to 21 months in prison.
Brown pleaded guilty in December to unlawful delay of the mail by a postal employee, theft of mail by a postal employee, and removing checks from mail entrusted to him as a postal employee.
After doing his time, Brown will also serve three years of supervised release.
