A suspect in the shooting of an eight-year-old girl is in custody following a standoff in Terrytown.
US Marshals and Jefferson Parish deputies arrested Evans Rogers at a La Quinta hotel on Tuesday.
New Orleans police say the girl was shot in the head on Monday as she ran for cover during a gun battle outside an apartment building on Lawrence Street in Algiers.
Rogers is charged with attempted second-degree murder.
