A national nonprofit that honors fallen military members, first responders, and their families is making its way through Louisiana.

Carry The Load travels across the country every May to raise funds for families dealing with the loss of a loved one.

The latest stop of their walking tour passed through Baton Rouge. Next stop is Lafayette, followed by Houston, before ending up in Dallas.

The Carry The Load website says they're raised more than $600,000 so far this year.
