An Oregon high school teacher, Oscar Armando Ramirez, 36, was arrested following an undercover sting operation targeting online predators. Ramirez allegedly engaged in sexually explicit conversations with an undercover police officer posing as a 13-year-old girl, according to the Portland Police Bureau. The chats, which continued for four days, included lewd discussions about acts Ramirez wanted to perform. He also revealed his occupation as a high school teacher during these exchanges.
The operation led to Ramirez's arrest on June 6, 2025, outside his Portland home. He has been charged with three counts of luring a minor and one count of online sexual corruption of a child. The Gresham-Barlow School District, where Ramirez was employed, placed him on leave following the notification from authorities.
Despite the serious charges, the investigation did not uncover any crimes involving students at the high school or other children. Ramirez has pleaded not guilty and is currently held at the Multnomah County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday (June 10).
