The head of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is taking a different job, prompting Gov. Jeff Landry to name a new secretary.
DOTD Secretary Joe Donahue, who Landry appointed to the post in January 2024, is moving to the position of executive counsel. He had served as an attorney for DOTD, holding positions in the Office of General Counsel and the Office of the Secretary.
Landry announced Thursday that Glenn Ledet, who previously served as Executive Director of the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, would replace Donahue as DOTD Secretary.
“I am honored and grateful to Gov. Jeff Landry for the trust he has placed in me to lead DOTD. I look forward to working alongside the agency's dedicated team and partners throughout the state to strengthen Louisiana’s transportation network. Together, we will focus on delivering efficient and safe infrastructure that meets the needs of Louisiana’s residents, communities, and businesses both now and in the future,” said Ledet.
