A New Orleans City Council member is calling for a do-over of a local election on Saturday.

Incumbent Erica Johnson was declared the winner of the election for a seat on the Crescent Soil and Water Conservation District Board.

Council member Helena Moreno says several polling locations in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes ran out of ballots because the district failed to print enough for the unusual election.

Moreno says the election was conducted by the district, with no city, county, state, or federal involvement.
