Jack Watkin, a self-proclaimed millionaire who dubbed himself the "Kardashian of Cheshire," has admitted to defrauding friends and businesses out of more than $270,000 through a fake Hermes handbag scheme. The 26-year-old, known for his extravagant lifestyle on social media, convinced victims, including his father, to invest in a non-existent designer handbag business, promising financial returns or luxury items.

Chester Crown Court heard that Watkin used the funds to support his lavish lifestyle, spending over $130,000 at The Dorchester Hotel in London and accumulating significant bills at Harrods. He pleaded guilty to six counts of fraud, with the court revealing his spending habits and deceitful tactics.

During the investigation, police discovered indecent images of children on Watkin's mobile phone, leading to additional charges. He was convicted of nine counts related to child pornography. Watkin will be sentenced for both the fraud and child pornography charges on September 3, as reported by The Telegraph.

Prosecutor Matthew Kerruish-Jones told the court that Watkin presented a facade of wealth and glamour, which led individuals to trust him with large sums of money. Among his victims was Christine Colbert, who loaned him nearly $125,000, and Hannah Jakes, who lent him $440,000. Both women, along with other victims, were defrauded as Watkin used their money for personal gain.
