Report: Pelicans Decline Contract Options For Payton, Boston Jr.

The Pelicans are moving on from a pair of players this offseason.

New Orleans is reportedly declining the team options on the contracts of guards Brandon Boston Jr. and Elfrid Payton. The moves make both players unrestricted free agents.

Payton had a $3.15 million player option for the 2025-26 season, while Boston Jr. had a $2.3 million option for the upcoming season.
