Former New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul is announcing his upcoming retirement.
Paul stated on Sunday that the 2025-26 season will be his final year in the NBA.
New Orleans drafted Paul fourth overall in 2005, when the team was still called the Hornets. The Wake Forest grad was the NBA Rookie of the Year and was on the 2006 All-Rookie First Team.
After the 2011 season, the Hornets traded Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, and Al-Farouq Aminu.
