Louisiana Emergency Teams Deploy To Texas To Help With Flood Rescues

The State Fire Marshal's Office says a group of Louisiana first responders are going to Texas to help with flood search and rescue efforts

Twelve members of Louisiana Task Forces 2 and 3 crossed the state line on Saturday to take part in the response to widespread flooding in Central Texas

Firefighters from Baton Rouge, Zachary, West Feliciana, East Side, and Shreveport made the trip.

Officials say the crews are trained in swift-water rescue and urban search and rescue operations.
