Suspect Arrested In Stabbing Death Of St. Gabriel Police Officer

A suspect is in custody for the fatal stabbing of a St. Gabriel police officer over the weekend.

Captain Devin "Curly" Boutee was found stabbed to death at a home on Legion Drive on Sunday morning.

Iberville Parish deputies arrested Warren Mitchell, III of St. Gabriel on a charge of second-degree murder.

Captain Boutee was reportedly a popular officer who had worked for the St. Gabriel Police Department for years.
