Under an emergency sanitation contract, Henry Consulting will provide cleanup services in the French Quarter starting at the end of July.

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell signed the contract, even though a state law passed last month authorizes the French Quarter Management District to select its own emergency sanitation provider.

A spokesman for the district says they just put out the request for bids.

Henry Consulting, a former contractor, is involved in a legal battle with IV Waste, the current provider, over who should get the job.
