Former LSU pitcher Kade Anderson was selected in the first round of the MLB Draft.
The southpaw pitcher was selected by the Seattle Mariners with the third-overall pick.
Anderson led the Tigers to their second national championship in the past three years, allowing just one run through 17 innings over two starts in the College World Series.
He led NCAA Division I baseball with 180 strikeouts and finished third with 12 victories.
