A high-ranking employee of the Louisiana Department of Corrections is suspended for reportedly using a racist slur during a Zoom call.
The man reportedly made the comment to somebody nearby without noticing his mike wasn't muted. There were dozens of employees from several state agencies on the Thursday call.
The Department of Corrections stated on Friday that Blake LeBlanc, the department's Director of Mental Health, is suspended pending the outcome of an investigation.
