Several cruise lines are expanding their operations in New Orleans.
Carnival Cruise Line is adding voyages to Celebration Key, its new private resort in the Bahamas.
The 4,600 passenger Carnival Dream is returning in 2027. It hasn't sailed out of New Orleans since 2019.
Norwegian Cruise Line plans to debut a 5,000 passenger ship out of New Orleans this fall. Next year, Royal Caribbean will replace its current vessel with one that's 50 percent bigger.
New Orleans is popular with passengers as both a starting point and a destination.
