It's not clear whether New Orleans taxpayers will have to pick up the tab for Mayor LaToya Cantrell's trip to the French Riviera last month.
It cost more than $50,000 for Cantrell and her entourage to travel to Nice to participate in the United Nations Ocean Rise & Coastal Summit, along with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Upgraded flights for Cantrell and her three traveling companions cost nearly $9,900 per person, and their hotel rooms were more than $500 a night.
