Tyrell Morris is no longer in the race to become the next mayor of New Orleans.
A judge disqualified Morris from the ballot on Monday because he hadn't filed his Louisiana state taxes since 2021.
Morris is the former head of the city's 911 center, and he still faces criminal charges filed last year.
An Orleans Parish grand jury indicted him for malfeasance in office, insurance fraud, impersonating an officer, and other counts related to his accident in a city-owned SUV.
