A Civil Court judge is giving the green light to Mayor LaToya Cantrell's emergency trash contract with Henry Consulting.
Wednesday's ruling means Henry Consulting will begin collecting the trash in the French Quarter and the Downtown Development District on July 31
Plaintiffs and some City Council members have accused Cantrell of manufacturing an emergency so as to steer the contract to her choice of vendor.
The 4th Circuit Court of Appeals is expected to hear arguments in a related lawsuit during the first week of August.
