Officials ID Pilot Killed In Thibodaux Helicopter Crash

Officials are identifying the pilot of a helicopter who was killed when he crashed near Thibodaux on Wednesday morning.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says Stanley Hebert Jr. of Abbeville was an experienced pilot in his 60s.

The helicopter crashed around 6:30 a.m. after it apparently struck a utility line while crop-dusting a sugar cane field in the Laurel Valley area.
