Violent Inmate Accidentally Released From Orleans Parish Jail

Police and deputies are on the lookout for a violent inmate who was mistakenly released from the Orleans Parish Jail on Friday.

Khalil Bryan was in custody for a list of charges, including home invasion and domestic abuse.

Sheriff Susan Hutson says an internal investigation is underway into the clerical error that led to his release.

Bryan's accidental release happened just two months after ten inmates escaped from the same jail. One of them is still at large.
