Louisiana officials are reportedly talking with the Trump Administration about housing ICE detainees at the Louisiana State Penitentiary.

Gov. Jeff Landry signed an executive order last week to speed up the repairs on the prison's Camp J site, which hasn't been used since 2018.

Hundreds of ICE detainees have been housed at Louisiana facilities.

The state is reportedly in the early stages of an agreement with the White House, but the governor's office and the state Department of Corrections aren't commenting yet.
