The New Orleans Pelicans are adding a new member to their coaching staff, hiring Mike Hopkins as an assistant coach and head of player development.
Hopkins joins the Pels after spending last season as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns under head coach Mike Budenholzer.
The 56-year-old previously worked as the head coach at the University of Washington from 2017 to 2024, where he was named Pac-12 Coach of the Year twice.
