Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana is confirming that it's cut jobs at several locations statewide.

The company, also known as Louisiana Blue, is the state's largest health insurance provider, with about 3,000 Louisiana employees.

The company says some of the layoffs are the result of expiring subsidies from Obamacare. A Louisiana Blue spokesperson didn't say how many employees have been let go.

The Louisiana Workforce Commission says the company hasn't submitted any WARN notices, which are required if a company gets rid of 50 or more employees in 30 days or less.
