Former Judge Arthur Hunter is no longer in the running for New Orleans mayor.

Hunter announced his withdrawal from the race on Thursday and endorsed state Representative Royce Duplessis.

Hunter was reportedly having trouble raising money, with the most recent campaign finance report showing he had nearly $43,000 on hand.

Recent polls have City Council member Helena Moreno as the front-runner, with Duplessis and City Councilman Oliver Thomas trailing.

The election is scheduled for October 11.
