A million-dollar liquified natural gas training unit is coming to Nunez Community College in Chalmette.
College officials say a grant from the Department of Labor is funding the development, which will expand their Process Technology program with instruction specific to the LNG industry.
Students will get hands-on experience with the refrigeration, compression, vaporization, and liquefaction processes.
The instruction will train students for careers in the LNG industry and enhance the skills of existing operators.
