Saints Lose To Chargers In Preseason Opener

The New Orleans Saints started out the preseason with a loss, falling to the Los Angeles Chargers 27-13 on Sunday in Inglewood.

Rookie QB Tyler Shough completed 15-of-22 passes for 165 yards, one touchdown and an interception.

Shough connected with Mason Tipton on a 54-yard TD completion in the third quarter.

Spencer Rattler passed for 53 yards and rushed for a team-high 22 yards, while Jake Haener threw for 41 yards and an interception.

The 0-1 Saints host the Jacksonville Jaguars in their next preseason matchup on Sunday afternoon.
