New Orleans isn't realizing anywhere near as much revenue from a ticket amnesty program as it expected.
The program offers people with unpaid traffic camera and parking tickets to create a payment plan, or pay their fines without late fees.
In April, it was estimated that the amnesty program would bring in at least $18 million.
Officials told the City Council on Wednesday that the program has collected only $133,000 so far, and may not reach $500,000 before the program ends on August 31.
