Mayor Cantrell To Be Arraigned In Federal Court Next Month

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell will be arraigned in federal court next month.

Court records show her arraignment is scheduled for September 10 at 2 p.m.

This follows Cantrell being indicted by a federal grand jury on eleven counts alleging wire fraud, obstruction of justice and lying to a grand jury.

Former NOPD bodyguard Jeffrey Vappie is facing charges in an indictment also revealed last week- he will be arraigned at the same hearing.
