Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center continue to monitor a tropical wave over the Atlantic Ocean.
The NHC said the wave was located a few hundred miles west-southwest of the Cabo Verde islands Wednesday.
"Environmental conditions remain conducive for additional development of this system during the next several days, and a tropical depression is likely to form late this week or this weekend," the NHC added.
The next name on the list is Gabrielle.
There is no immediate threat to the Gulf Coast. As the peak of hurricane season approaches, residents are reminded to review their plans and supplies.
The hurricane season ends November 30.
