Louisiana's 2nd Amendment Weekend Sales Tax Holiday starts today and continues through Sunday.

The state Department of Revenue says items exempt from state and local sales taxes include guns, ammo, and hunting supplies such as archery gear, hunting clothes, and certain types of knives.

Binoculars, ear plugs, range finders, decoys, hunting stands, and blinds are also exempt.

The tax break applies only to consumer purchases and not business or commercial transactions.
