Discussion Begins On Building Memorial To Victims Of French Quarter Attack

Vigil Held On Bourbon Street In New Orleans For Victims Of Terror Attack

Discussions are now underway to build a permanent memorial for the victims of the New Year's Day terrorist attack in New Orleans.

The French Quarter Terrorism Attack Memorial Commission met on Tuesday for the first time, led by Gov. Jeff Landry.

Members of the commission include New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Saints and Pelicans owner Gayle Benson, and a French Quarter resident to be named later.

Also on the commission are survivors who were injured and family members who lost loved ones.
