A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled today for a new Amazon delivery station in Slidell.
The station will handle package sorting and distribution for the Northshore area. Community and parish leaders will join company officials for the occasion on Town Center Parkway.
It's the second major facility Amazon has opened in the New Orleans area this week.
On Monday, local leaders showed up as Amazon cut the ribbon at the new Jefferson Parish Same-Day Delivery site on Mounes Street in Elmwood.
