U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson and Gov. Jeff Landry are among those remembering conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Johnson and Landry both attended a vigil held at LSU on Friday evening for Kirk, who was shot and killed last week while speaking at Utah Valley University.

Kirk was scheduled to speak at LSU on October 27.

Friday's event was staffed by campus police, Louisiana State Police, East Baton Rouge Parish deputies, and Baton Rouge police.
