The New Orleans tourism industry may be affected if President Donald Trump sends the National Guard to the city.
Walt Leger, president and CEO of New Orleans & Company, says customers have mixed feelings about the idea.
Leger says some customers like the prospect of increased public safety, but others say the troops may be intimidating.
He says he wants visitors to the city to feel both welcome and safe, and the presence of Guard troops would likely help continue the downward trend of crime in the city.
