Tropical Storm Gabrielle is expected to become the second hurricane of the Atlantic season this weekend.
An advisory from the National Hurricane Center says Gabrielle is expected to pass somewhere to the east of Bermuda but it's too soon to know what the exact impact will be on the island.
Forecasters say the storm is packing top winds of 60 miles per hour and is moving north-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands.
The NHC is also watching another tropical wave with a low chance of development over the next seven days. Here's what forecasters had to say on Saturday morning.
Eastern Tropical Atlantic:
A tropical wave over the eastern Atlantic is producing disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity well southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. Some slow development of this system is possible through the middle to latter part of next week while it moves west-northwestward across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
