Senator Bill Cassidy, who is a doctor, is showing frustration with President Trump's health secretary.
He's demanding that the Department of Health and Human Services release data backing up claims this week that the use of Tylenol during pregnancy can lead to autism.
The Louisiana Republican said in a statement that the "preponderance of evidence" shows there is no link between the pain reliever and the developmental disorder.
President Trump and HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy, Jr. made the claims Monday at the White House.
Kennedy established a task force this year in an effort to find the causes of autism.
Trump encouraged woman not to take the medicine while carrying a child, but if they have to, only sparingly.
The President also said it's wise to space out vaccines instead of getting a lot administered at once.
