Planned Parenthood is out of business in Louisiana.
The organization closed its doors on Tuesday at its clinics in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The permanent closures end more than 40 years of operations in Louisiana.
A Planned Parenthood executive said the decision was forced by the political climate in the state.
Gov. Jeff Landry and state Attorney General Liz Murrill both applauded what the governor called "a major win for the pro-life movement here in Louisiana."
